Melissa is the Programs Director for the Seligman Research Lab at UCSF's Center for Vulnerable Populations. In this role, she provides strategic guidance and support across a broad portfolio of food insecurity and nutrition policy-related reseach studies and community-based programs led by Principal Investigator, Hilary Seligman. A member of the lab since early 2015, Melissa helped to start the Vouchers 4 Veggies-EatSF produce prescription program.
Alex comes to the Seligman Research Lab most recently from San Francisco Health Plan, where she provided analytic support to the San Francisco City Option program. Prior to that, Alex was involved in food security work, serving as the Tenderloin and Treasure Island neighborhood representative for the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. She holds an MPH in Nutrition from Tufts University School of Medicine, where her research centered around improving patient outcomes through increased provider communication on the Navajo Nation.
Hilary Seligman, MD, MAS is Professor at the University of California San Francisco with appointments in the Departments of Medicine and of Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
Jennifer Tong is a Project Policy Analyst with the Seligman Research Lab where she primarily supports implementation of the Vouchers 4 Veggies-EatSF program. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis and her master's in public health from the University of California, Berkeley.
With 10+ years of experience in public health and wellness, Aimée is passionate about driving key strategic and operational initiatives, as well as overseeing complex projects. In addition to her program management skills, she is proficient in leveraging various software programs, such as Epic, RedCap, Smartsheet, and Asana to create digital health tools for patients, conduct data analysis, and identify new opportunities for process improvement.
