What We Do

The Seligman Research Lab at UCSF engages in collaborative, policy-oriented research and operates programs aimed at understanding and improving the root causes of food and nutrition insecurity and its impact on health. The team, led by Dr. Seligman, works across a broad nutrition-policy focused portfolio that includes private and federally-funded research, implementation of community-based programs, coordination of national research networks, involvement in national program evaluations, and the provision of scientific expertise and technical asssistance primarily in the areas of food is medicine, the charitable food system, and federal nutrition programs.
